Helpful Blog Tips and Tricks: Maximize and Track your Tweets

I often get wrapped up more in the writing and promoting (and recently pinning) aspect of blogging and forget how important it is to track things. These tools can be useful to help you grow your blog, track your own social buzz or for validating information of promotions you do for your sponsors and clients.

1) Hashtag it

Why? It is a free and easy way to track your event.  Just make sure you remember to use it in all places, and make sure you do a search first to ensure your hashtag is unique.  Otherwise your tracking will not be accurate.

2) Track Hashtags

There are a million ways to see and track hashtags.  The simple and quick ones or Twitter search, Hashtags.org, Hashtracking.com, Twitterfall, HashTweeps etc.

However if you want something more complex, try Tweet Reach,  HootSuite or my new personal favorite the archivist. And of course there are paid services if you are big time! Many services have basic free versions as well as Pro or Paid versions.

3) Maximize it

Are you doing the best you can to optimize your Facebook posts and tweets?  My new favorite tool is Crowdbooster.  It helps you maximize engagement.  Pretty cool.  Let me know if you want an invite!

4) Grow it

Retweeting is an excellent way to engage on Twitter. The more active you are in the space – the more credibility you will have and the more people will help you RT as well!  Triberr is also a wonderful toll that I have mentioned before.  It is ever changing, and can be frustrating for some people.  You need to be active in it for it to work for you.  But – if you have a few minutes a day to engage in the community and groups it is well worth it as far as reach and RT capabilities.  If you want an invite to Triberr or my group let me know.

5) Tweet it, thoughtfully

Twitter is a fast moving space – so make sure you schedule some (not all) of your tweets so you don’t trump your tweets with your own tweets.  There are many tools for this. I like Buffer and Social Oomph.

If you have any favorites, tips or tricks – leave a comment and let me know!

Great tips! I’m also making sure that I add acurate descriptions and hashtags on my pinterest pins, then tweeting them at the same time. I’ve gathered lots of followers and retweets from pinterest! Who knew? LOL

I’m very new to Pinterest, like a day’s old but already got people like my pin. How do they find me? Just wondering, sorry for the basic question. I’m a mom of eczema baby, researching graphics using Pinterest for convenient archiving, and yet to have time to find out how it works!
